FAQs

Do your mattresses meet flammability standard?
Yes, all mattresses meet the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Standard which went into effect July 1, 2007 by using wool or cotton batting. No fire retardant chemicals are used.

How snug should my mattress fit?
Your mattresses should fit snugly to protect your baby from injury. There should be no more than a 1 ½ inch space between the mattress and the crib sides. 

What is a puddle pad?

A puddle pad, also referred to as a moisture pad, is designed to protect your mattress from absorbing fluids. Ours are made from wool which has natural repellant properties. Fluids will tend to “bead up” on the puddle pad rather than soak through and into your mattress.

Are your products GOTS certified?
Yes, all of the organic cotton used in all of our fabrics is GOTS certified. The acronym ‘GOTS’ stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. The GOTS ‘organic’ label requires a minimum of 95% certified organic fibers. Our products use 100% organic cotton. Critical inputs that are still widely used in conventional processing (i.e.:  toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic solvents, and GMOs) are prohibited in GOTS certified products.

What types of dyes are used?
Eco friendly low-impact dyes are used. We believe low-impact dyes are easier on the planet compared to natural dyes. Our dyes contain no harmful metals. The finishing process uses only natural vegetarian products. Low-impact dyes are explained in greater detail in our Education section.

How are the fabrics “whitened”?
All fabric “whitening” is done using a hydrogen peroxide process, no chlorine used.

What is Eco Wool?
Wool that is collected from sheep raised using sustainable practices such as pasture rotation, proper ratio of sheep per pasture (no overstocking), the use of guard dogs or llamas to protect flocks from predators (rather than trapping, poisoning, or shooting), no herbicides or pesticides on fields where sheep graze and healthy veterinary practices. It is then blended with coarse and finer wools to create strong, durable wool batting.

Is your natural rubber certified?
Yes, our natural rubber has earned both the Eco-Institut Certification which tests for harmful emissions (off gassing) and the Oeko-Tex Certification which test against the use of harmful substances. It is 100% natural rubber, no synthetic additives.

What is the difference between Dunlop and Talalay latex?
These are terms used to describe the processing techniques. For Dunlop the latex mixture is poured into a mold and baked. For Talalay the latex is poured into a mold, the molds are flash-frozen before they’re baked and the process is completed in a vacuum environment.

The texture of Dunlop latex has a firmer, denser feeling than Talalay latex. Dunlop is resilient and responsive to your body, but not bouncy. Talalay is softer than Dunlop and the added cost of processing is passed onto the consumer, making it more expensive 

Where do your products ship from?
Our Pure Rest and Eco Baby products ship from southern California. Our Naturepedic products ship from Ohio. 

Order Status

Has my order shipped?
We send out a confirmation email when your order ships from the manufacturer.
If you created an account before ordering, Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to check your orders status.

How do I change quantities or cancel an item in my order?
If you need to change an item after placing your order, and have not received a shipping confirmation, give us a call. If it has not already shipped we will do everything we can to make the change.

How do I track my order?
You have to create an account and login to track your order via our website. Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order.

My order never arrived.
Send us an email and we will follow up with the manufacturer to find out what happened. If you received a shipping confirmation, use the tracking number provided to get current information.  In rural areas, sometimes a driver is unable to communicate an issue until the end of the day. Don’t hesitate to call and leave us a message or email us. We may not have an answer right away, but we WILL get you an answer ASAP.

An item is missing from my shipment.
Sometimes items come from more than one manufacturer and arrive at different times. If any item appears on your packing slip, but is not in the box, save all packaging and call us right away.

My product is missing parts.
Cribs and furniture are packed carefully so make sure you go through all packing material on a clean surface. That missing bolt or nut may be hiding. It should not happen but if it does, we will get to the bottom of the issue and make it right. Call or email us right away and we will not rest until you have everything you should.

Shipping timeframes.
We have provided shipping timeframes for your information. However, sometimes the warehouse runs out of stock and we haven't been notified and there may be a delay with your order, or it may be on backorder.

When will my backorder arrive?
First, we apologize if there was a backorder and we did not let you know. Call or email us and we will try our best to get you a valid expected ship date.

How do I create an account?

1) Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right side of our site.

2) Enter your email address.

3) Select "I am a new customer". 

Then simply follow the prompts to complete setting up your account. Your information is NEVER sold to any other company and is kept completely private. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information.

How do I edit my account information?
Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to edit your account information.

How much is my shipping?
We try to offer free shipping on all products so there are no surprises when you check out. We are working to get reasonable rates to Alaska and Hawaii but you should call us before placing orders to ship outside of the lower 48 states. Unfortunately due to the cost of some items, we do need to pass on the shipping costs. This will be noted in the product description where it is applicable.

I forgot my password.
Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site. Under the login box you'll see a link that says "Forgot your password? Click here". That link will send an email to you with your password.

How do I return my product?
You can find a link by scrolling to the bottom of any page and click Returns

I received the wrong product.
If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product.

What is your return policy?
You can find a link by scrolling to the bottom of any page and click Returns.

When will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 5-7 business days unless noted on the items product page. You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped along with tracking information so you can know when it will arrive at your door.

International Shipping - Do you ship to my country?
Currently we are focused on providing the best customer service possible and do not offer shipping outside of the United States via our web site, however give us a call or send an email with what you are interested in and where you need it shipped. We will do whatever we can to get that organic product to you.

Pricing and Billing

Do I have to pay sales tax?
There is no sales tax unless we are shipping to Colorado. Even then we cover the sales tax for you so shop with confidence. The price you see is the price you pay.

I need a copy of my receipt/invoice.
Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to print invoices. If you did not create an account just send us a note and we will email you a copy.

When will my credit appear on my account?
Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged when you place the order. If there is a delay in fulfilling your order we will contact you to find out what you would like to do.

How do I navigate the site?
